Will I have to take any drops or medication after the operation?

Virtually everybody is put on two drops to be used four times a day. One is an antibiotic and one a steroid. Patients are seen again in the clinic about 2 weeks after the surgery.

If all is well, then the drops are tailed off over a period of 2 to 4 weeks after that. Occasionally the pressure within the eye can be raised after surgery. In order to prevent this from causing damage, anti glaucoma drops are sometimes prescribed as well.
