Virtually
everybody is put on two drops, to be used four times a day.
One is an antibiotic and one a steroid. Patients are seen
again in the clinic about two weeks after the surgery. If
all is well, then the drops are tailed off over a period of
2-4 weeks after that. Occasionally, the pressure within the
eye can be up after surgery. In order to prevent this from
causing damage, anti-glaucoma drops are sometimes prescribed
as well.
